Terms of Service

This page is a plain-language summary intended to set clear expectations for ShredLabs users. It is not a substitute for advice from a lawyer licensed in your jurisdiction — if you rely on these terms for a business handling real payments, have them reviewed before relying on them as a legal document.
1. The Service
ShredLabs lets you design a custom guitar from a catalog of parts and save the results to your account. A free account can build and preview guitars; some parts are marked Premium and require an active ShredLabs Pro subscription to use.
2. Accounts
You need an account (email + password) to save builds or subscribe. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account.
3. Subscriptions & Billing
ShredLabs Pro is $99 MXN/month (shown in your local currency at checkout), billed automatically to the payment method on file until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe — ShredLabs never sees or stores your card details. Prices may change; we'll give notice before a price change takes effect on your next billing cycle.
4. Cancellation Policy
You can cancel anytime from My Account→ "Manage / Cancel Subscription." Cancellation is self-service — no email or phone call required.
When you cancel, your Pro access continues until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, then quietly downgrades to the free tier. We don't offer partial refunds for unused time in the current period. Your saved builds and account stay intact — downgrading only re-locks Premium parts, it doesn't delete anything.
5. Payment Failures & Suspension
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe will retry it automatically. If it keeps failing, your subscription moves to "past due" and Premium access is paused until payment succeeds or you cancel. We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms (e.g. abuse, fraud, chargebacks) or misuses the service; where practical we'll try to notify you first.
6. Content & Builds
The parts catalog, artwork, and branding belong to ShredLabs. Builds you create are yours to keep and share via the Share link while your account exists; we don't claim ownership over your specific combinations of parts.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date; continued use after a change means you accept the update.
